This Type Bulletin has been designed by Maximilian Inzinger and Lucrezia Noro, and meticulously printed at ECAL by Benjamin Plantier.
All the typefaces used in this publication were designed by students, including the font used for information text, Modern Gothic, a diploma project by Malte Bentzen.
These are just some highlights from a more extensive body of work. All the typefaces used in this publication have been designed by students graduating from the 2024 Master Type Design program.
The lettering used on the cover showcases the font Soleil, designed by Ratchanon Boongsrithong, with additional typography of Astra, by Mirela Belcheva. Both indo-arabic numerals and Mongolian texts reads as “eight” (pronounced ‘najm’ in Mongolian). The sample text is taken from the Thesis of Mac Wang, “Craft is dead, long live craft!”. It has been translated with the help of Ruslan Abbas (Turkish), Mirela Belcheva (Bulgarian), Eran Ben Barak (Hebrew), Þorgeir K. Blöndal, Hólmfriður Benediktsdóttir (Icelandic), Kriszta Bolcsik (Hungarian), Jonathan Bruun (Danish), Matthieu Cortat Roller (French), Katarzyna Friedrich (Polish), Maximilian Inzinger (German), Gabriela Jaime (Spanish), Lina Kaltenberg (Swedish), Lucrezia Noro, Giulia Zanzarella (Italian) and Stephanie Wilson (Dutch).
